Our latest project of the month is St Mark’s Secondary School in Bath. This 2,000m2 project was carried out by TCRC’s Special Projects Division, and involved a comprehensive surfacing, kerbing and line marking solution.
The works initially involved preparing and overlaying the entrance area from the road to the reception using AC dense 10mm wearing course. The slabbed footpaths were then removed and rebuilt before being overlayed with AC dense 6mm wearing course. The same finish was applied to the concrete footpaths and suitable back kerb edgings and fencing were then installed. The school’s tarmac footpaths were also overlayed with frames and covers raised accordingly.
Elsewhere the lower sports court was prepared and overlayed with AC dense 6mm wearing course and detailed line markings were then carried out to complete the multi-court sports areas and the car park.
Overall, this was an exceptional contract that was completed ahead of programme and within budget.
