TCRC are currently making excellent progress on an exceptional project down in Aberbargoed, Wales. ‘The Hangar’ is a dedicated Youth & Community Centre where we are working in conjunction with manufacturers Garland to replace the existing metal profile roof on the distinctive barrel vault building.
In line with the specification we are completely removing the existing metal roof, insulation and liner, before replacing it with a new, fully upgraded R-Mer Loc standing seam system. The new system will include a perforated deck liner, acoustic infills, Alu X Vapour Control Layer, quilt insulation and R-Mer Loc top sheet.
Work is progressing well with the whole building now stripped of the original roof and new liner and rails installed. The new VCL is also in place and new perforated liner sheets have been completed around all curved and vertical sections of the building.
Next step is to install the first delivery of R-Mer Loc vertical top sheets so watch this space for further updates in the coming weeks!
