At TCRC one of our core strengths is our ability to take on multi-faceted projects. This proved particularly valuable when we were recently contacted by Cotswold District Council to provide a complete roofing and glazing solution for their headquarters building in Cirencester.
The scope of works was vast and, after carefully removing the existing glazed roof and Brise Soleil solar shading, we installed a new Kingspan Insulation KS1000 roof sheeting system with integrated thermal upgrade. Internal decorations were also completed to enhance the final appearance.
Our roofing specialists then installed a complete Bauder Flat Roofs built-up roofing system, incorporating a tapered insulation design that helped improve drainage. Elsewhere, we carried out a range of repairs to the pitched roof and valley gutter areas, and completed specialist lead replacement on the bell tower.
A major challenge on this project surrounded the fact that works were taking place in a live environment directly above the Councillor’s offices. Health and safety were of paramount importance, as was the need to minimise any disruption. We also needed to deal with restricted access and a particularly tight timescale, but ultimately managed to provide a first class solution for the client!
